An Overview of great Austrailian UggsUgg boots from Australia are simply an Austrailian icon. They've been around for at least a century with some people saying two. Stockmen have worn them, surfers have worn them and your average "Joe Blow" (slang for just your average Austrailian) has worn Austrailian uggs. Despite recent attention being drawn to them by an American company referring to themselves as "Ugg Australia", true, authentic ugg boots can only come from an Austrailian company. Ironically, the only ugg footwear that can be called imitation or knockoffs is that made for overseas companies so if the boots you pick up say "Made in China" then they are NOT an authentic Australian ugg! In Australia, ugg is a generic word used to describe a style of boot. Ask anyone here what an ugg boot is and they'll say an Austrailian sheepskin boot.
